Why ISO matters

    200 ISO

    If you’re looking for a film to shoot in bright daylight, this is the one. Kodak ColorPlus 200 35mm film perfectly captures this historic building in Columbia, California. This would be a perfect choice for a golden hour photo shoot in an open field. 200 ISO film is great when in direct sunlight or in a well-lit indoor studio.

    400 ISO

    A bright, sunny morning in Santa Cruz, California. This photo was taken with Kodak UltraMax 400 35mm film. Due to the direct sunlight, the colors in this photo are more washed out compared to the shaded areas. Although I would not recommend a 400 ISO film on a bright, sunny day, this may be the style of photo you are looking for! Traditionally, a 400 ISO film would be used on partially cloudy days or partly shaded areas. It is also a great back up for 200 ISO in case of sudden weather changes!
